We've got one (no kids here). We LOVE it!!! I'm hooked on the boxing. Must say that it is quite a workout and relives much frustration!
We also have Rayman's Raving Rabbids and it's lots of fun too. The dance games on it are very challenging.
It's a great system for entertaining. Try getting liquored up and playing a few rounds of the bowling. A good time!

Any Nintendo Wii'ers out there?
by Jourles inhands down the best new game system you can buy.
forget the ultra-highend graphics, being part of the game is where it's at.
we've had one for a couple months now and even my wife loves to play all the games we have for it.. bsom's thread about d&d reminded me of something...you know how many jw's will watch lord of the rings but will spurn harry potter due to the witchcraft portrayed?

Pan's Labyrinth
by Mystla inhas anyone here seen this movie?
if there has already been mention of it, i'm sorry, i've been afk off and on quite a bit the last month or so and have missed a lot of threads.. this is one of those hard to categorize movies.
it's a fairy tale.

I enjoyed the film as well. I also had my eyes covered for many parts of it. It reminded me of "Life Is Beautiful", the Roberto Benigni film from a few years ago. Similar idea of fantasy being used to escape horrid atrocities. Pan's is a visually stunning film. I'd recommend it.

"Wow.....I've gotta hand it to Q-boob, he seems to be a "troll with a strategy".....slowly establish trust on a thread, gradually slip in little snippets of Watchtower propaganda, then finally present a full-on Watchtower troll assault! Most JW trolls begin their posting with pro-JW crap, this one actually managed to disguise it quite well until page 7....."
Ya, Kid-A. Q-Bert has learned well from his wt masters.

Wow Q-Bert. I have been following your comments on this thread and really wanted to think you had pure motives in posting here, although my gut was telling me otherwise. Now I'm convinced you're just using this thread to troll the wt's views on marriage and sexuality.

Ban on Jeans , T-Shirts & Shorts after the Convention
by dozy inapr km insert.
"even during leisure time , such as when going out to eat after the programme , we should dress as befits ministers... and should not wear such clothing as jeans , shorts or t-shirts.
what a witness this will give to the community.".

"Remember that many will observe us wearing our convention badges while in the convention city."
Which is why I didn't wear my badge when socializing after the convention. This way I could wear whatever the hell I wanted. Bastards.

Yup. More often than I'd like. Mostly memories of the jc I went thru this time 8 years ago. Still a trigger for me.

Innovators In Music - Jan Garbarek....
by hillary_step inokay, i know that i bleat on endlessly about the 'copyist' rot that is imho infecting music of all varieties this past couple of decades, so i will resist and rise above my inclinations.. here is one of the most exhilirating innovators in modern jazz music marrying jazz and a pakistani raga in a way that takes the breath away.
his name is jan garbarek and the pakistani singer is ustad fateh ali khan.
it takes some effort to listen to, but will i think lift your spirit into another dimension.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-x1xqvnohww&mode=related&search=.

Thanks HS. Great music. I'm already a fan of Ali Khan. I'll check out more of Garbarek.
If you're a fan of Indo-Pakistani music may I recommend Lata Mangeshkar. Here's one of my faves:
